179-180 If
its reformation and education is not done, it progresses for its unruliness
(and contumacy), recalcitrance and insurgency and becomes cattle from human,
beast from cattle but rather absolute Satan. In such case, Inwardly
disease of
Nafs
is encountered and it dies at last. However, if reformation and good
education is given to the Nafs
, it gradually advances in Inwards towards the
Realm of Malakoot
and the sacred life and becomes Lawwama from this Nafs-e-Ammara.
[Lawwama means that which browbeats (and admonishes). That is, upon committing
a sin, the Nafs
of the human being browbeats on him and makes him penitent] and
since, the Invisible support and Inwardly
Taufeeq from Allah
Almighty remains
with such Nafs
, thus, Nafs
embarrasses the human being if he does wrong. Such
Nafs
keeps in memory the death, Day of Resurrection and Decision etcetera all
the time. Therefore, Allah
Almighty swears upon for such Nafs
along with the
Day of Judgment through the blessed tongue of His Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam: Nay, I swear by the Day
of Resurrection; Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (the Nafs-e-Lawwama) (that
this Scripture is true) (75:1-2). Subsequent to this, when the Tazkiya
is
accomplished, it changes to Mulhimma from Lawwama. Such Nafs
gives Ilhaam
with
Unseen Support to the carrier of Nafs
through different ways. It stops a person,
sometimes, through a valid argument and thought; to some, voiceless and
soundless Ilqa
(inspiration) is received through Waham
from the Unseen (realm);
to some, the Angels call in the Inward
by which the Fear of God rushes into
heart and that person does not commit a sin. * Sometimes, the Ruh
(Spirit) of some Holy
Prophet
Alaihis-Salaam extends a helping
hand and bars him from doing sinful action. In short, these invisible arguments
of Lord Almighty remain along with the blessed Seeker
in some form and stop him
from vices as Allah
Almighty says about Hazrat
Yusuf Alaihis-Salaam : She verily
desired him, and he would have desired her if it had not been that he say the
argument of his Lord (12:24). After this, when the holder of Nafs
advances
and ascends in Inward, his Nafs
becomes Mutmainna. It is as if the Nafs
reaches
to its destination of the Abode of Peace and the desired destination after
getting rid of this eternal brigand Satan. This Station
is of the 'Fear not nor
do grieve'. Lo! Verily friends of Allah
are (those) on
whom fear (comes) not, nor do they grieve. (10:62). Possessor of such a Nafs
becomes the Friend
and Muqarrib
of Allah
Almighty. Allah
Almighty is pleased in him and he is
pleased with Allah
as Allah
Almighty says regarding such People of Nafs
e
Mutmainna that: But
ah! You soul at peace (Nafs-e-Mutmainna)! Return unto your Lord, content in His
good pleasure! Enter you among My bondmen! Enter you in My garden!
(89:27-27-28-29-30)
Such
chaste and Pure (holy) Nafs
uses to be of the Aulia and Prophets. This Inwardly
Personality of the Nafs
is very sublime and superior. Each Nafs
is identified
by its trait and temper and color and smell. Thus, Nafs-e-Ammara
thinks evil
all the time and remains inclined towards evils and satanic vices. It every
hour remains preoccupied by actions of eating, drinking, sexual intercourse and
the carnalities and temptations like these. It never remembers death and does
not believe in the Day of Decision. Irfan (Volume 1) IRFAAN 1 pdf download Install app |
