These
people are totally unmindful and unblessed for the cause of Allah
Almighty and
the Abode of Hereafter. Came in the world like cattle and left it after eating
and drinking. This very Folk of Qaroon
is the only responsible for all
financial scarcity, economic plight and disparity of wealth. These people say
that 'we are lords of strategy and entrepreneurship and we are like lion in
jungle. It is our prerogative that can hunt the poor and devour them into pieces
and eat them all. The poor, indigent and pauper are just stupid, coward and
timid. Therefore they deserve to be looted and ransacked by us and lead a life
of exhilaration'. These people are just cattle and beasts in the garb
of man. They are the fuel of the fire of Hell. For them Allah
Almighty says:
And
on the day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (it will be said):
You squandered your good things in the life of world and sought comfort
therein. Now this day you are rewarded with the doom of ignominy because you
were disdainful in the land without a right (and you had accumulated wealth
through illegitimate and unfair means) and because you used to transgress (and
were involved in corruption
(and mischief) and sins) (46:20)
Other
kind of the people is that who believe in Allah
and the Abode of the Next World
but their Eimaan
is weak in case of earning livelihood and vocation and their
Conviction is shakable. Such people do not intend to earn livelihood by means
of the available means of earning income and through hard work (by their own
hands). Relying only on Tawakul
and giving up resources and vocation for
livelihood is harmful, rather, fatal for such people. As an infant is needy of
his mother and her milk and although there are many foods available otherwise
and in the outside world and there are many ways to get these but even then
unless he is infant, he should essentially be stick and mother-fixated for
getting his feed. If he will not do this, his fatality is certain.
*
Thus,
for such tyro person with weak Eimaan
, sticking to the physical resources and
getting his Sustenance
and livelihood from these is must. However, in spite of
their physical efforts for earning a livelihood, they should keep on believing
on this thing that the original livelihood and Sustenance
is in the hand of
Allah
Almighty and for very that Sustenance
and provisions, our Outward
struggle and effort is like a sleeve over the Hand of Ability of that Absolute
Sustainer and our all effort and
attempts for finding and searching the livelihood and Sustenance
is also from
His end as some person asked Hazrat
Makhdoom Jahaniyan Jehan Gasht Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe that 'when Sustenance
has been
predestined, then what is the use of striving for it and searching it and why
are we made to go here and there to get it?'. He replied that 'when the Sustainer causes the man to go here and
there to search Sustenance, then there remains no need to ask such question'. That is,
same as Sustenance
is predestined, searching it and going here and there to
find it has also been predestined from the Sustenance. If the worker and the
laborer will earn Sustenance
with this Credence (Eitiqaad ) and Yaqeen
and does
work by hand, then he is Momin
and Muslim
otherwise if he considers that the
earning is because of his professional expertise and his personal efforts and
does not consider Allah
Almighty the Absolute
Sustainer (and the Provider), then such person is a Kaafir
and irreligious. Concerning such people Maulana Room Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe has said:
If
you want to exercise Tawakul
in your works,
First
do as good as you can, then keep the things in reliance on the Powerful (God),
The
Holy Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said
in clear words,
First
tie the knees of camel before sleeping and then exercise Tawakul
!
[Jalal
ud Din Rumi]
For
such people, it is lawful if they keep savings for one year after they have
paid Zakaat
and Ushr etcetera (Islamic Taxes) due on their earnings and possessions.
If a person has savings that cover more than a year (for the necessities of his
life), then he will be considered greedy and sinful.
Third
kind is of the Muttaqee and the Heedful persons. In case of Sustenance, their
matter is very much difficult and complex. First of all, these people try to
find a purely Halaal
Sustenance (and earnings). Nevertheless, Halaal
earnings
is very much a difficult and hard thing these days. Therefore, the Muttaqeen,
as a rule, hesitate to take part in that kind of job the earnings of which is
Haraam
or suspicious and they shun it.
