297-298
Although
fats and meats look fine and most demanded food, yet a prudent and judicious
father prefers to throw it before hounds instead of giving to his children.
Allah
Almighty says: And if
Allah
were to enlarge the provision for His slaves they would surely rebel in
the earth, but He sends down by measure as He wills (42:27)
So,
such measure stops them to rebel. Hazrat
Musa Alaihis-Salaam
(Moses) asked Allah
Almighty:
Our
Lord! Lo! You have given Pharaoh
and his chiefs splendor and riches in the life
of the world, Our Lord! that they may lead men astray from Your way. Our Lord!
Destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not till they
see the painful doom (10:88)
Once
the Holy Companions Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhum complained
against their paucity and narrow sustenance in the court of the Holy Prophet Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam and humbly requested his honor to pray Allah
Almighty
to lift scarcity from them and grant them ample and enlarged sustenance. he said that 'O my Companions! I fear not for the paucity and narrowness
affecting you but I do fear against the enlargement of provisions for you'.
Thus, the affluence of Dunya
(World) and the kingdoms of the world had indulged
some Companions in such a kind of internal adversities and fights that those,
who depicted the show of 'Lo! the Believers are brethren' and 'are kind with each other' and showered
their lives and possessions over each other, they turned thirsty for the blood
of each other for the tussles and ventures of getting the reins of power of the
Caliphate and the Rule in the days of (worldly) prosperity.

In
short, the worldly abundance and enlargement and the worldly power and reign
often proves a fatal venom against Eimaan. Always the Eimaan
and Islam has
flourished under the circumstance of poverty and paucity whereas for the growth
of the damned Tree of the Kufr, Shirk
and Nifaaq
,, the conditions of the
riches of Dunya
(World) proves quite suitable and favorable. What fine words
late Iqbal have said about this:
These
are the poor, who stand in lines for Assalaat (Prayers) in Masjids,
These
are the poor, who take the troubles of Fasting,
If
there ever is one who commemorates Our Name, it is the poor,
If
there ever is one who gives consideration to Us, it is the poor,
The
rich are heedless against Us in intoxication of the riches,
The
glowing nation is living by virtue of the existence of the poor!
In
short, the kings of the previous eras were religious and pious by themselves.
There was sufficient value and worth of the Doctrine of Faith and the Faithful
and they often doled out their treasures for the service of the Faith and
Religion. As a result, the Religious Guides and the Spiritual Leaders of the
Course, that is, the Respectful Aulia also extended their support and help
through their Inwardly
Audacity in their ventures for the state and for the
extension of the state. Those kings were the true sympathizers and really kind
for their subjects and the subjects were also obedient to them in true spirit.
The rule of those kings was not just on the bodies alone but they also ruled
over the hearts of their people because the Inwardly
Oulul-Amar persons, who
hold their Tasarruf
over the hearts and Spirits, were with them in their
actions and all the times accompanied them as patrons. Although there were no
vehicles, trains and airplanes for transport and travelling nor were there fast
communication systems like telephone, telegraph, radio and wireless etcetera
and the king lived thousands of miles away from some territories, yet the
Invisible effect of his government and kingdom remained in Current and
in action all over the domain. It felt as if the king is present inside every
house. Until the time the shadow of the Oulul-Amar
People-of-Allah and the
Inwardly
Mutsarrifeen was on their heads, none was there who could dare to
rebel against them and refute their orders because that government ran by
virtue of the presence and invisible participation of the People-of-Allah.
