Thus,
even after so much begs and requests and after many appeals, Hazrat
Shaikh Abul
Hasan Kharqani Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe
refused to accept
the gold coins and said that he needed not those nor was he rightful to take
them and they deserved with whom that belonged. Sultan Mahmood become the fan
and devotee of the Shaikh
of a greater degree and
used to humbly meet with the Shaikh for many times later on
and always requested him to pray and help and to pay his Tawajuh
on him. He
begged the Shaikh to grant him his cloak
as an auspicious endowment which he took along with in for his foreign invasions
and Allah
Almighty granted victory to Sultan by virtue of its Waseela
and
blessing!
In
all the invasions of Sultan Mahmood Ghazanvi on Hindustan, the vital reason of
his success and triumph had been the Inwardly
power and Tawajuh
of Allah's
chosen personalities and there were some Aulia-Allah
whom Sultan had taken along with him to
Hindustan for his Spiritual Backing and left them here for the mission of the
propagation of Islam. Hence, Hazrat
Shaikh Ali Hajveri Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe
, famous as 'Data Ganj Bakhsh' were
also amongst those Mardaan
of Lord whom Sultan had escorted with him and had
left him for the Guidance of the Creation of God in Lahore.
The
most destructive episodes of the unrest and havoc created by the invasions of
the Tatars has no example to second it. It had burnt a huge fire of widespread
cruelty and atrocity all over the earth which had been burning the entire
cities and towns of the world like dry shredding of wood. It had eliminated and
annihilated even the big powers of that time and this fire could not be
extinguished by any sovereign. At last, this fire cooled down forever as a
Karamat
and a little marvel of setting of feet of Allah's two chosen persons:
Hazrat
Abu Yaqoob Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe and Muhammad Khawaja
Darbandi Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe
. Daily millions
of the innocent men, women, children and elderly people used to roll in mud and
blood of tyranny and all the beaten and broken and persecuted creature on the
face of earth received the sigh of relief, peace and harmony by virtue of the
presence and existence of these two pure and chosen bondmen of Lord.

Hulagu
Khan was so much fierce and ruthless person that he was too much bloodthirsty
of the human beings and his thirst for blood was not going to quench even after
homicide millions of the human beings on daily basis and with just one poisoned
goblet of these Mardaan
e Khuda, his entire thirst for blood absolutely
quenched and all the Tatar beasts along with their ferocious king, Halagu Khan,
became cool and peaceful with the Water of Life of Islam and once again the
world returned to the protection of Islam, peace of Eimaan
and the shelter of
Irfaan.
Halagu (or
Halaku) Khan and all his Tatar lords and his army and people who had spread the
flood of ruthlessness and atrocities and widespread homicide, were totally
irreligious and faithless. When they had established their government, they
decided to choose some Faith but wanted to test its truthfulness first. Since
that was the time when no Messenger (of Allah) could be there to show them some
miracle (Karamat ) which could lead them to assurance of their hearts. Only
option was of the Aulia-Allah
who use to be the substitutes and the deputies
of the Messengers. Halagu Khan heard the good name and praise of two Aulia of
that time. They were Hazrat
Abu Yaqoob Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe and Muhammad Khawaja Darbandi
Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe. He decided that if these two distinctive
personalities of Islam would match his criterion and touchstone he had set in
mind, then he will accept Islam along with all of his people. Thus, these two
respectable personalities were invited by Halagu Khan in his camp and in or
test their spiritual mastery the truthfulness of Islam, he dug deep and wide
ditches and arrangement were made to lit fire in these two big ditches so that
fire be lit a short time before their arrival near the camp. When the said
respectable Aulia came to his camp, the fire was burnt the flames of which soon
rose to sky. Hazrat
Abu Yaqoob Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe and Muhammad Khawaja Darbandi
Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe hesitated not a little even and recited
Bismillah
and the Kalimah-e-Tayyeb Laaa-Ilaaha
Ill-Allahu
Muhammad-ur-Rasoolu-Allah/there is none worthy of worship except
Allah, Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah
(Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee
Wa-sallam) and jumped into fire. Halagu Khan
was seeing this action from his pavilion. He saw them coming out of the furious
flames of big fire unhurt and safe and sound. He was startled and started
preparing another test and sat on his throne waiting their arrival inside the
camp. Servants escorted both the Saints inside the court. Halagu Khan showed
great respect and honor to them and served them with juices and seated them
near his seat. These goblets of juice were poisoned with fatally toxic poison a
drop of which is sufficient to invite death. He said 'you have crossed a heavy
and hot fire. You must be thirsty. Please drink juice'. Thus, both the intrepid-devotee
of the Course
of Lord
read Bismillah and drunk the juice.
When Halagu Khan found them successful in both the trials, he and all his
subjects and army accepted Islam on the hands of Hazrat
Abu Yaqoob Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe and
Muhammad Khawaja Darbandi Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe and embraced the Doctrine of Faith of
the Haq!
