to the well-off rich person and traders up till the Earls and Rajas and kings
and ask them that they have everything granted by God and there is nothing
short, you have fine tasty foods and fruits for eating every time, you have
chilled sweat juices to drink, you have soft and costly raiment to wear, you
have good, beautiful and grand houses to live, you have nice horses, buggies
and cars for riding and visiting and sightseeing, you have gardens, lawns and
provisions of sports, dramas, radio, cinema, dance and color and music etcetera
every time, beautiful women and servants are on your disposal for your service;
in short all of your longings and desires are fulfilled and all goods of luxury
and comfort are handy. If you ask them that if they are really happy and if
their heart is satisfied despite of all this luxury and comfort and bounty and
riches and pomp and treat then almost all will give you similar reply that they
are not at all happy in this world and they will say that they, though, are
lavishly living a life of luxury and comfort but God knows why their bosoms are
filled with gloom and dismal without any apparent reason and they are
unreasonably feeling an undying tedium and an unknown temper. You will
certainly find these people plaintive and displeased with unrest of Qalb
and
perplexity (and inner turbulence) of heart. The reason is that the food of
heart is absent in them. Therefore, though, their bellies are full but their
heart is underprivileged of its unique food that is, the Zikr
of Allah * That
is why that despite of so much wealth and the luxuries and comforts many people
are committing suicides in Europe. The percentage of such incidents in poverty
stricken and poor countries is almost negligible especially in the Muslim
countries which is least developed and most behind of these nations, the
incident of suicide is rare. The reason is obvious that despite the reason that
the Muslims have given up many of their religious orders and fundamentals of
faith up to noticeable extent and their cordial and spiritual foods like Zikr
,
Fikr
, Assalaat
(Prayers), Fasting, Obedience and Worship
have declined greatly,
even then Islam is such a surrounding, overlapping and universal that due to
the effects of this Pure (holy) Religion remain current in all the moves and
acts and deeds and affairs of a Muslim
from his cradle to grave. Therefore, no
matter how severely an ordinary Muslim
is lagging behind, he, without intention
and effort, receives a little share of his cordial and spiritual foods and even
if he is made deprived from the material (earthly) wealth and worldly comfort,
he still then keeps his survival with the stake of cordial and spiritual foods
and does not loose wits and control under severe conditions and does not commit
suicide after losing self-control. Contrary to this whenever there arises some
extraordinary upheaval in the condition of the nefarious Kaafir
and his worldly
comfort is declined, his chords of the Nafs
scatter untied like the weak
threads of the cobweb and the tent of his bubble of life which survives just
with the support of a drop of water and the air of Nafs
, it busts upon not enduring
the opposite wind of the accidents of life and is destroyed away. That is the
reason, often those people become victims of suicide whose religious and
spiritual condition is very imperfect and lower and those whose hearts lack in
religious capacity and Inwardly
food. Europe, which is the mineral of the
atheism and materialism (and freethinking) and is spiritually severely famine-stricken
land it is mostly weary of life because of the dissatisfaction of heart and is
extremely upset. 
. So, it remains restless.
Those nations where the food of heart is absent and where atheism, Naturalism
and materialism (and freethinking) are in voyage and that land on which the
spiritual famine is on the way, the rich and well-off people of that land are
severely upset by the dissatisfactory state of heart despite of plenty of
comfort and luxury and pomp and possessions. There is a universal unrest
because of this dissatisfaction of heart all over Europe. The English and
Americans who have left Qaroon
behind in availability of wealth and have
surpassed the rest of the world in respect of capital, they are yelling with
the uneasiness at hearts.
