327-328 Their
condition is never like those formal shopkeeper (and tradesmen) imperfect
sensual (Piraan) of these days who just make their Mureedain
through Initiation
(Bai-at) on hand after making them the prey to their hypocritical and alluring
snare in order to earn gifts, oblation and money from them for making big
properties and a luxurious life. It is hard to find oil to light lamp in the
houses of Mureedain
while colorful lights shine on the house of Pir
and
electric fans run. Poor Mureedain
attend the court of the Pir
walking on foot
and donate their savings from their earnings earned with labor and hard work to
the service of the Pir
but the esquire Pir
travels in luxurious cars and
airplanes; radios are available in houses; eat and drink in gold pots and enjoy
that life of comfort and splendor which is not available to even lords and
affluent persons. The contractors of Eden provide the sustenance of Hell in
house and themselves become the fuel of the Hell. However, give Untrue consoles
to their Mureedain
and pose themselves responsible for entering them in the
Garden! Allah
Almighty says: O you,
who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour
the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) form the way of Allah. They who
hoard up gold-and-silver
and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give
tidings (O Muhammad)
of a painful doom. On the day when it will (all) be heated up in the fire of
hell, and their foreheads and their flanks and their backs will be branded
therewith (and it will be said unto them): Here is that which you hoarded for
yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard (9:35)
* The
Seeker
should observe the worldly transactions and give and take of the Pir
and
Murshid. In case he is greedy and worldly give and take and is a general
supplier of Dunya
(World), he should, then, give divorce at once. Secondly he
should observe if he is worshipper of Nafs
, addicted to luxury and comfort and
is well fat and overweight that he cannot even take care of his own hips, then
he should part from such Murshid
as the wise men have said 'search a that
doctor who is fat and chubby but a Pir
who is thin and smart'. What will that
doctor treat you who himself is sick and weak and a Pir, whose body is fat and
stout like as ass, bull and lamb and is devotee of Nafs
, what will he show you
the course of Lord? Thirdly, he should be not that Pir
who is customary or the
one who has got this title in inheritance but instead the one, who has covered
the Inwardly
Stations through Riyazat
and Mujahida
in service of some Kaamil
(Pir) and is aware of and informed about the entire Destinations and Maratib
of
Salook. Every man cannot be a Pir
and Murshid
just by cramming a few books on
Tasawvuf
or acquiring the knowledge of Outward
Fiqah, Logic and Meaning or
because of his birth in the family of Saints or by winning the title of
surrogate from some traders Pir. In addition, Hidayat
and Beneficence
cannot be
achieved from such customary and formal Piraan. Such persons are hollow and
incapable. Hence, what will they give to others? These are the days when the
imperfect Piraan have made that chaos that we seek refuge in Allah
against
them. May Allah
show the right path to these Piraan and grant wisdom and
discretion to the Mureedain. Special
slaves of Allah
issue Talqeen
and Irshaad
to the people just for their benefit
with the command of Allah
Almighty and if they occasionally accept something,
they give it in the course of Allah
Almighty as the Holy Prophet
Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam had been commanded by
Allah: Take
alms of their wealth, wherewith you may purify them (9:103)
