Khateeb
has quoted in the 'Tareekh Baghdad Khatabi' that Naqbaa (plural of Naqeeb) are
seven and Najiyaa are seventy in number and the Abdaal
are forty and Autaad
are
usually seven and Aqtaab are three and the Qutub ul Aqtaab is one on earth.
This has also been mentioned that Badlaa (plural of Abdaal) are the likeness of
Angels; Autaad
like Messengers (of Allah), Naqbaa are like the Messengers (of
Allah) of Bani Israel; four Aqtaab are like the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the
Qutub ul Aqtaab of the Ghaus
is the parable of Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam. The Ghaus
is his Zill
(Shadow) and his Surrogate and Deputy. From the above testimonials, it is
proven that the existence of the Rijaal-ul-Ghaib
is continual and authentic as
per authentic Hadis. This is the not the crafted fiction of the successors. It
should not be misinterpreted from above that there are only 360 Aulia-Allah in the world. Nay, there
are also many greater Aulia besides them in the world. The aforesaid folk of
Aulia is a special Section of the Aulia which is established for the sake of
smooth running of the worldly affairs. They have no concern with the Irshaad
and Talqeen
of the Seekers. Of them only the Ghaus
is the Pir-e-Kaamil
and the
Master of Irshaad
and Qutub has a Degree of Semi Pir. All the rest of the
Ahl-e-Takween-Mutsarrifeen
who are in the world, they are the members who take
care of the smooth running of the state affairs and worldly matters of life.
Their endorsement gives boom to business; problems are solved; difficulties are
eased and hopes are met. Hence, if a person wants to get the endorsement of these
Rijaal-ul-Ghaib, then before starting a journey or undertaking a venture or
reciting Wird
Wazifa
or Dawat
or Words of Revelations, he should recite Sacred
Darood
and say Salaam
on these Rijaal-ul-Ghaib
in this way and may seek their
help:
And
if he reads the Surah
Al Fatihah and Surah
Al Ikhlaas (112) for three times
before and after this Darood
and gifts the Sawaab
of this to these Sacred
Spirits, it is better.

Some
people have started saying strange things about the forty Abdaal. Some say that
at night something passes over their head very fast flying. People guess if
these are the forty Abdaal
but this is wrong. This is a kind of bird which
comes out at night and flies away in great pace. Some people have even given an
outline of the forty Abdaal
that they change their Stations
at certain dates of
lunar month and remain at a certain side on a certain date but we doubt in the
authenticity of this thing. Since Rijaal-ul-Ghaib
means the Invisible Men, they
hover about the world with an invisible Subtle
body and do their work.
Common
sensual folk cannot see them coming or going. When all the people assemble in
the Holy Ka'ba at the occasion of Hajj
or on the nights of Laila Tul Qadr
(Night of Power) and Laila Tul Raghaib or in the night of Shab e Baraat and in
other blessed nights, these people attend the Inward
Conventions of the
spiritualists. The Kaamil
Arifeen
seek their help through their Haziraat
only
for their worldly business. This is as if an Inwardly
Department of Police in
the Ummat
of-Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam.
Their duty is maintaining law and order and discipline in the outwardly
business. These people have the support and are backed up by the Muakalaat
with
their services and these people use their services for their transactions like servants
and pawns. We conclude here about this topic of Rijaal-ul-Ghaib
.
This thing will yield no gain that the Secret
may disclose,
Otherwise
there is nothing which is not present in the assembly of (the real) men.
In
case a person has never seen a true dream in his entire life nor has he
experienced any of the aforementioned Occurrences of the Qalb
in all his life,
then such persons should get their heart treated and visit some Doctor of
Hearts (Quloob ) and let their Egg of Nasoot
incubate with the warmth of the Zikr
of Allah otherwise
villainy and privation will be their badge and this couplet of a poet will tell
their story:
