Muhikal Faqar (Qalan)

That is, Istiqamat is above Karamat .

SHARAH

The Faqar of-Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam sets step in the Fanaa-Fi-Allah (Destruction in Allah) with Steadfastness (and persistence) and with a Straight Step. Faqar arrived in his name and on Faqar came the Name Allah . That is, the Faqeers are the People-of-Allah (Ahl-e-Allah) and they are the goshawks by the Auspiciousness (and blessing) of the Name Allah . Moreover, if the Ahwaal of the Faqeers show Steadfastness (and persistence) in Faqar , he becomes the Master of Secret in reality. And if someone receded from Faqar and the Name Allah and did not bring the power of Istiqamat and inclined unto Dunya (World) and the People-of-Dunya (Worldly People), he, receded the Martaba of Faqar and goshawk. (It is) as if he keeps gaze upon carcass like kite (and) becomes abject and disgraceful in Both-the-Worlds . His heart is not replete and his ravenous eye does not reach unto the Martaba of Faqar Haqeeqi and the Sultan-ul-Faqar Tahqeeqi because he is the seeker of Dunya (World) and atheist in addition.

Allah Almighty says: And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another (23:101)

Thus, when the Trumpet will be blown their lineage will give them no credit.

Allah Almighty says: nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness (49:11)

The Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said that: He, who dropped the standards of his Amal , his lineage will not give him any credit.

Hence, he, who lowered (the standard) of his deeds, his decent will give him no profit.

[The Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said that:] Pride is not by wealth nor is by descent (and lineage) but instead it surely is by Ilm and Adab (deference).

QATA'A

In the creed of the Aashiqeen ready to sacrifice lives,

there is importance to excellence and nobility,

Here, there is no credit of racial superiority,

and greatness and descent are not considered.

ABOUT ISTIQAMAT AND KARAMAT: Uprightness is called Istiqamat, which implies that the Faqeer should remain safe against unrighteousness and should never allow the taint of Nafs and Satan in him. It also implies that he should never be desirous of anything else besides Allah. That unusual outcome that apparently seems impossible, if that happens by the Aulia-Allah Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alaihim Ajmaeen, then it is called Karamat and if such happens by a non-believer, then it is called Istadraaj . Since, in Karamat , there is possibility of the taint of the Nafs that is why Istiqamat is above Karamat.
