151-152 In
construing the argument in favor of the killing of Nafs
, these poor Outward
Seeing people have joined the earth with sky but what a far off position
it is where they have fallen in wake of their ignorance against the reality of
the Nafs
that Hazrat
Musa Alaihis-Salaam (Moses) had ordered to
tie the hands of those thousands of people the children of Israel and to make
them sit stern who had by mistake, worshipped the calf for a few days only and
instructed those, who had not worshipped, to behead their brothers who had
worshipped. Then at the same time such a dark wind blew on them that nothing
could be seen by anyone so that no one could face hesitation in killing his
relatives and kinsfolk. In this way homicide of hundreds of thousands of human
beings was done with sparing none. It
should remain clear that the Noble Quran is such an all-inclusive Word that
every common, proper, lower, higher, the People of Outward
and the People of
Inward
can fetch meaning that they need and follow it and can get the Beneficence
and success according to their respective capacity and ability as the Holy
Prophet of Allah
Hazrat
Muhammad Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam has said that 'I have been given a comprehensive Word'. Both
Quran and Hadis
have been indicated here. 'Islam'
means 'accepting' and the Islam alone is the religion of 'submission and
resignation' and Hazrat
Ibrahim Alaihis-Salaam
is the one who was the founder formation of it and he gave this religion this
name of 'Islam'. Allah
Almighty says: and
has not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father
Abraham (is yours). He named you Muslims (22:78)
In
short, 'Muslim' is called that person who unconditionally surrenders his head
before the predestination of Allah
Almighty and never complains against His
desire and (happily) bears every Will of Allah
with due patience and
forbearance. Hence, this Religion is free of every kind of hardship and pain.
Contrary to this, the priests, monks and clerics of other religions like
Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism etcetera have made these religions
very hard and painful by introducing their hypocritical and cunning self-devised
exertions and toils in worship which are unnatural. Wherever Allah
Almighty has
addressed Hazrat
Ibrahim Alaihis-Salaam in the Holy Quran, He
has acknowledge his quality of 'confiding his cause unto His Will and Raza' as Allah
Almighty says: * When
his Lord said unto him: Surrender! He said: I have surrendered to Lord of the
Words (2:131)
(This
is called Raza
and Tasleem). Surrendering
to the Will and Raza
of Lord is a very vital a significant Station
in the
Inwardly
Course
of the Salook. At another place Allah
Almighty says: Who
is better in religion that he who surrenders his purpose to Allah
while doing
good (to men) and follows the tradition of Abraham, the upright? (4:125)
At
another place Allah
Almighty says: And
lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham when he came unto his Lord with a
whole heart (37:83-84)
Allah
Almighty says: Our
Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our seed a nation submissive unto
You (2:128)
(Hazrat
Ibrahim Alaihis-Salaam and Hazrat
Ismaeel Alaihis-Salaam
prayed Allah
Almighty the above prayer at the time of erecting the building of
the Holy Ka'ba) Allah
Almighty says:
Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon
his face, We called upon him: O Abraham: You have already fulfilled the vision
(37:103-104-105)
Here
the words 'and he had flung him down upon his face' clearly mean surrendering
the neck of Nafs
and prostrating it before Allah's Will and Resignation
(Tasleem and Raza
). In short, Hazrat
Ibrahim Alaihis-Salaam
had proven an embodiment of the Surrender before the Will and Resignation of Lord
and by virtue of this quality of his Surrendering and Accepting Allah's Will,
he was declared the Guide of the Course
for the entire Islamic Folk as Allah
Almighty says: And
(remember) when his Lord tried Abraham with (His) commands, and he fulfilled
them, He said: Lo! I have appointed you a leader for mankind (2:124)
