In
short, the standard of conduct (and ethics) of the people of old ages was so
high and great that even the worldly lords and nobles of that old time were
more pious, virtuous, chaste, devout and ascetic (worshipper) as compared to
the Sufis and Sheiks of the present age!
When
Hazrat
Khawaja Qutub ud Din Bakhtiyar Kaki Oshi Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe died, it was announced
in light of his last Will that his Funeral Prayers will be led by that person
who has never missed the First Takbeer (of Obligatory Assalaat
in Congregation)
and the Sunnat
Assalaat
(Prayers) of Asar. Readers will not believe that there
was no Aalim
, Faazil
, Muttaqee, Zaahid, Sufi, Dervish
, pedigreed Sayyed
or
Qureshi available at time who could match this requirement. In order to match
the requirement of his Last Will, this was Sultan Al Tamish the king of
Hindustan's vast domain who came there and lead the Funeral Congregational
Prayers. Also, Emperor Aurangzeb for fifty-two years and Sultan Naseer ud Din
for nineteen years had been writing the Holy Quran by their hand. That is,
Hindustan saw this spectacle for seventy-one years that the Holy Quran was
being Hand Written on the Royal Throne and under the Royal Umbrella. Such was
the condition of the kings of that time who were so much entangled in the
worldly affairs and were drowned in worldly headaches from top to toe and were
badly stuck up in political and financial affairs of the state! You can well
imagine from this that what will be the condition of the standard of the chaste
and Pure (holy) Dervishes and Faqeers
of that time. If we have to illustrate
the examples of their Pure (holy) Conduct (and ethics) and virtuous dealings,
it would need a separate archive to record theses. Thus, we have already said
that the saintly people of past were not behind the people of present times as
regards to the knowledge and skill despite of their engagements in Inwardly
religious and spiritual affairs. Taj Mahal (Palace) of Agra, pyramids of Egypt,
Takht e Jamshid (city of Persia), Throne of Taos (Peacock Throne) and the Wall
of China are witness to the magnanimous courage and power and accomplishment in
creativity and industry. The people of this age were so much surprised and
astonished at seeing the intact Mummies of the dead people of three to four
thousand years back buried in pyramids of Egypt that they initially had
believed that those Mummies of the Egyptian Pharaohs were not real corpses but
instead were metal molded idols.

However,
when after chemical tests and scientific probe, those corpses were proven to be
real, their amazement was limitless and they have been unable to open this
secret and mystery that how these dead bodies have been intact till today and
that what compound and what process had been done on these that these are still
safe because two things are available to the scientists and chemists of today
for preserving such thing for long: one is ice and other spirit. Hence, it is clear
that those people of three to four thousand years back whom these people
consider savage, uncivilized and stupid, were well ahead these so-called
civilized and wise bright-minded people in every field of knowledge and
science. May it be medicine, logic, poetry, knowledge of composition,
philosophy, mathematics or the science of words etcetera, the previous age can
present the examples of the people of past, in the outward knowledge, like Boo
Ali Sina, Plato, Jalinoos, Aristotle, Fakhar Raazi, Imam Ghazali, Hafiz
Shirazi,
Faizi, Firdosi and Maulana Room etcetera. All parables of wisdom, proverbs,
fine and famous couplets, principles and rules of ethics, religion and
spirituality which are in custom and tradition till this day, all are those
which were devised and formulated by the Illuminated and high-minded people of
past.
This thing has touched the pole of proof through the observations and
experiments of Mesmerism, Hypnotism, Animal Magnetism and spiritualism that
there exists a very mighty spiritual power and a big Inwardly
power. If its
regular exercise and training is given, man can show those jaw dropping and
astonishing marvels in this material world before which many big, wise,
philosophers and material minded people become mute (and speechless) and stay
'deaf and dumb' in
giving the scientific and philosophical explanation thereto and no answer is
suggested by his mind.
