Muhikal Faqar (Qalan)

In presence of the eagle, the worth of the Nafs is of a vulture of carcass.

ABYAAT (COUPLETS)

I have found the reality of Nafs with the Secret of Haq,

No person can clad the Nafs with the coarse jute garment of Taqwa (Pietism),

If you will fill the belly of Nafs , its habit is demanding more,

If you keep it hungry, it becomes the foe of God Almighty,

O Bahu Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe ! It is better to keep the Nafs in control,

So that it should not give smell of the dispute (Chun-O-Chara ).

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

Eimaan (Faith) is in-between the Khauf (Fear) and Rija (Hope).

Mard is he, who is with Clean Inward and he, whose Inward is Clean, perpetually remains present inside the Majlis of the Holy Prophet of Allah Muhammad Mustafa Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam.

RUBAEE (QUATRAIN)

What want do we have of the cruel Nafs ?

Who cares if the enemy dies of hunger?

It is not only Haatim, who has dispensed benevolence with creatures,

That person is also like the Haatim who neither begs to nor takes from anybody.
