SECOND CHAPTER

MURAQIBA AND ZIKR OF QALB

What is Muraqiba? In addition, what thing is that, which is called Muraqiba? It should remain clear that Muraqiba is the name of keeping watch (and surveillance) over the heart with such an effect that the 'foes' should not be allowed to enter heart. Foe means the Sensual, Satanic and physical Khatraat and the greed and desire. [Their entrance will result in perplexity (and inner turbulence)]. In short all that, which is besides Allah Almighty is the cause of perplexity (and inner turbulence). And the (real) Muraqiba is that, which should lead (and deliver you) unto Almighty Haq and gets a person seen the special Mushahida and makes him preoccupied (and engrossed). And through which the Khatraat are negated, (and) one should become knower of the Secrets, earns the Muhabbat of the Beloved and gets the honor of presence inside the Majlis of-Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam and the Noor of Hidayat and the Tajalliyaat of Haq should become manifested (Huwaida).

Muraqiba is of three kinds:

1.      By which, the human being should become Roshan-Zamir and Ghaib Daan (prescient), the Beneficence of Lord should accompany (him) and (he) should become Complete Master of Ilhaam and Reason. In the event of that, the Fanaa and Baqaa should both be attained.

2.      That Muraqiba, which is of Die-before-death .

3.      Third Muraqiba is that through which, soon upon closing his eyes, he should see the Station of Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam. This is called the Sultan ul Mi'raaj. Ascension takes place up to the Arsh in it and (he) becomes Immersed in the Noor. If he remains there for fifty or seventy years even, people will feel that he, Outwardly, is with them.

Strange it is that (he) covers the path of the Mardaan or the quest (Matlib) went away during Muraqiba and he lost consciousness. In Maraqiba, he saw that the Day of Resurrection has arrived. Questions and answers are in session at the Great Assembly. In the event thereof, the Accounts (Deed Manifest) of the good and bad are being given and the creatures of the Eighteen Thousand Realms is crying Nafsi Nafsi (O my soul, O my soul) and his highness the Holy Prophet of God Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam is calling Ummati Ummati.
