THIRD CHAPTER ABOUT NAFS, RUH, SATAN AND DUNYA (WORLD) ABYAAT
(COUPLETS) You have to face
the Nafs that follows the creed of Kufr, Bring it inside
the of your snare, as it is very wonderful and strange prey, If a black serpent
were under your arm, it would not be as harmful, As is the damage and loss posed by the companionship
of the Nafs-e-Ammara! I wish that you should become the Seeker
of Allah You have become the seeker
of Nafs believing it
god instead, That person, who escapes from [the trap of] this Devil
[Nafs] after becoming godly (Ba-Khuda), He, then, becomes the Mard of God, It is not easy to kill this Nafs, It indulges the Ulema in disputes
(Chun-O-Chara), Nafs is like a child
and the Ruh is like milk, The Ruh, Nafs
and Faqar mingle with each
forming a homogenous alliance. Hence,
the Nafs of the Faqeer is not like a child on table of food.
Instead, he, like valiant Mard, sits on the table of food. HIKAYAT [A FABLE WITH A MORAL] [Once]
