And the Sidq (truthfulness) is [a
thing, that is always] an animosity to Nafs and on the People-of-Sidq
and Istaghraaq , Hazoori and inattention and sleeping
and wakefulness are equal. Allah Almighty says: and there is not a thing but
hymns His praise. (17:44)
For this, however, (real) heart
is essential, not a chamber of the devil because that Nafs that mingles
with the Ruh, that Nafs Ruh does the [special] worship
of
Almighty God. In the event thereof, Allah
Almighty asked Rabia Basri Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaiha
"why
do you worship
Me? Is it due to the Fear of the Hell or the Hope
of the Garden?" Rabia Basri Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaiha replied that "O Lord!
If I worship
You in the Fear of Hell, then You should burn me in the
Hell and if I offer Your Worship
in the Hope of the Eden, You should deprive
me of the Eden and if I offer Your Worship
purely for You, You should
not refuse me for Your Didaar and Jamaal ". It
is said that one day Hazrat
Shaikh Shibli Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe came
out of his Khanqah and sat in house of a gay (effeminate
(bisexual)) and stationed amongst eunuchs. The Mureedain respectfully asked
him that "O Hazrat! What place is this [that is, what the matter is]? Shaikh
Shibli Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe
said
that "Inside the world people are classified into three groups: Mard , Zann
(Feminine yet enjoying the status like Mard
) and the Mukhannas (effeminate
(bisexual)). Of them, Hazrat
Ba Yazeed Bastami Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaihe was
Mard. Zann was Hazrat
Rabia Basri Rahmatu-Allahe
Ta-aala Alaiha.
I
am outside both (groups). Thus, finding myself helpless, I joined this group (of
gays). Hence, it is revealed that the People of Zikr
and Fikr are
Zann (Females) and the People of Istaghraaq are Mardaan
and he, who has joined Dunya (World) and is not of any of these two groups,
is, thus, the Mukhannas (effeminate (bisexual)). Listen [carefully O Seeker!]
Iblees said "I offered worship". He was Replied "I accursed you". And
Hazrat
Adam Alaihis-Salaam said
respectfully "I wronged myself". He was Replied "I forgave you". Worship
with vanity and arrogance is bad and wrongdoing with
excuse is better. If you wish to reach at the desired Destination then
never "bring yourself in-between" so that the Nafs should be put
to shame. [That is, he who makes vanity and pride his practice can never reach
the desired Destination.].
