111-112 Thus,
the jealousy, haughtiness and niggardliness (greed) has been stuffed tight in
the Nafs
and he does not become ready to accept any human being better and
superior to it and this trait of niggardliness has been endowed in its nature. Allah
Almighty says: But
greed has been made present in the minds (Nafs of man) (4:128)
At
another place, And
whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful (64:16)
And
because of this natural niggardliness (greed) of man, the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam has said that 'this sign for the
confirmation of the niggardliness of a person is sufficient that my name is mentioned before him
and he does not send Darood
upon me'. he has also said that 'he forgot the way to Heaven
before him my name was
mentioned and forgot to send Darood
upon me'. You can imagine the Eimaan
of the jealous
hypocrites of this age, whose day and night exercise is to slash the glory of
the Holy Prophets Alaihimus-Salaam and the Aulia Rahmatu-Allah
Ta'ala Alaihim and to complain about them. This
innate niggardliness, jealousy and vindictiveness of the Nafs
is which, first,
stood a barrier for the Iblees in falling in prostration of respect and esteem
before Hazrat
Adam Alaihis-Salaam and then because of his
spitting over his
body, these traits were transferred to his
children as a relic and then this Nafs
has posed itself a obstruction to every
kind of respect and honor for the Holy Prophets Alaihimus-Salaam
and the Aulia Rahmatu-Allah Ta'ala Alaihim.
Inside every human being, this Nafs
beats the drum of its haughtiness and
superiority saying ''I am better than him (7:12)' like Iblees and 'I (Pharaoh) am your lord the
highest (79:24)' like Pharoah and whispers in the ear of every
person that 'there is none who can equal you'. Our
despicable Nafs
is not less than a Pharoah, He
had sources (and power) but it does not have (to do what it really wants). [Rumi]
As
long as one does not acknowledge someone as superior to him and has not
forsaken all the Outsiders in his guidance, leadership and direction and has
not set his step towards Lord after turning his face aside of each and
everything and has not covered the course of the Salook
and Tareeqat, the Nafs
does not die nor does he become submissive and free of the Nafs
and Desire
through verbal and Satanic Tauheed. * Instead,
Nafs
becomes fatter and healthier through the Ilm-of-Outward
(Outwardly Ilm
)
and Physical Worship
because of increase in its egotism and Self-conceit and as
long as the Nafs
has not died, heart cannot become Living! Nafs
cannot be killed except under the Shadow of the Pir
, Firmly
hold the skirt (of the cloak) of the Pir
, who is the Killer of this Nafs
. [Rumi]
IN
THE FOLLOWING VERSES, ALLAH
ALMIGHTY HAS REVEALED THE
SIGNS OF THE HYPOCRITES: Those
people, who just rely on the verbal Iqraar
(Declaration) and merely the
Dehydrated (crust of) Tauheed
and dare not to tread upon the course towards
Allah, what concern should they have with the leaders and guides of the course
towards Allah? They are just hopeless and weary of the Marifat, Qurb
and Wisaal
with Allah
Almighty. Merely verbal Declarations are also made by the hypocrites
as Allah
Almighty has portrayed the condition of the Hypocrites in these verses
of the Surah
Al Munafiqoon: (1) Allah
Almighty says: When the
hypocrites come unto you (O Muhammad),
they say: We bear witness that you are indeed Allah's messenger. And Allah
knows that you are indeed His messenger, and Allah
bears witness that the
hypocrites are speaking falsely (63:1)
(2) Allah
Almighty says: They make
their faith a pretext that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily
evil is that which they are wont to be (63:2)
(3) Allah
Almighty says: That is
because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so
that they understand not (63:3)
