So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit, do you fall down, prostrating yourself unto him (15:29)

All Angel fell prostrating themselves unto Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam. However, Iblees refused to do so because of his jealousy and haughtiness and said: 'I am better than him (7:12)' and I alone deserve to be the viceroy on earth. Then Allah Almighty made him accursed and Outcast of the Sanctuary (Court). Thenceforth, Iblees determined to offend and send Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam and his children astray.

'He said: Then, by Your might, I surely will beguile them every one' (38:82)

Then, Iblees, along with his hosts, examined the frame of the body of the Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam and infused into his body and came out after examining every inch of it. Satanic army asked him 'what do you report about Adam'. He replied 'it is easy for me to astray this Viceroy and his race to come. There are opposite elements of Soil, Fire, Water and Air in him. This erratic tempered will not remain firm and determined at anything and all his structure feels very useless and devoid of sagacity. Only a peach shaped dome type heart is hung inside him. I could not find a passage of entry into it. Perhaps the cache of deputyship and Hikmat has been kept there by Allah Almighty. Let me try to make some entry in it too'. Then he spat on the body of Adam under his sensuality and the spit of his jealousy and haughtiness fell on the navel of Adam due to which the seed and embryo of the Nafs was sown in the body of Adam which became the first ambush and post inside. Satan said to his army: 'I will enter the bodies of the children of Adam by means of this saliva and will send them astray and will blow the fire of jealousy, haughtiness and Self-conceit in him by virtue of the (efficacious) effectiveness (and the impact) of this spit. When Allah Almighty will send to them His Prophets Alaihimus-Salaam and Messengers Alaihimus-Salaam for their Hidayat, I will cause them turn their faces away of them because of the ego, jealousy and arrogance of their Nafs and will stop them in getting their guidance, leadership and following and, thus, the gateway of the Straight Path will be caused shut and barred for them'.

After this incident, it is said that once Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam happened to see the soberly attractive Arsh and when he saw the Kalimah Laaa-Ilaaha Ill-Allahu Muhammad-ur-Rasoolu-Allah/there is none worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah (Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam) written there, he humbly asked Almighty Haq that 'O Allah! You are the One without partner. What is this other Name Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah (Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)?' Allah Almighty said 'O Adam! This Name Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah (Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam) is of My Last Prophet who will be of your children and O Adam! That err that has been committed through you, it will be forgiven through the Interceding by yours this blessed son'. Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam has pointed out towards this in his Hadis that 'I am the chief of all the children of Adam and on the Day of Doom, the Lawa el Hamd, that is, the emblem of 'Interceding' will be in my hand and all the Prophets Alaihimus-Salaam and Messengers (of Allah) Alaihimus-Salaam will be under this banner'. When Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam heard this that a person from his children will Intercede for his forgiveness, he took it strange that son was being declared the Interceder for father, due to effect of the Satanic spit, the fire of Egotism and self-conceit rose inside him and the seed of Nafs germinated and the foundation of the Nafs was laid. Moreover, with the traits of jealousy, arrogance, lust, temptation etcetera, the leaven of Nafs was set. Because of lust, Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam ate the fruit of the tree that was forbidden to him to eat and was expelled out of the Garden. Thus this Egotism and I-ness was transferred to the children and race of Hazrat Adam Alaihis-Salaam as a inheritance which acted a barrier for them to get the companionship and guidance of the chosen bondmen of God and instead they crafted the pretext of Satanic Tauheed .

Allah Almighty says: And naught prevented mankind from believing when the guidance came unto them save that they said: Has Allah send a mortal as (His) messenger? (17:94)

Kaafir Nafs is much adverse blight (and calaminty) of the inside,

The Nafs of Adam was the caue of his expulsion from the Garden.
