[A HIKAYAT ABOUT THE LIKING
FOR DUNYA
(WORLD)] Be enlightened that: one day,
when Hazrat Pir
Dastgeer - the Beloved of Divine [Hazrat Shah
Abdul-Qadir-Jelaani
Qaddas-Allahu Sirru-hul Aziz "Qaleel" is also called that piece
of cloth which has been contaminated with the menstruation bleeding
of a woman. Allah
Almighty And Iblees further said that: "that
person who keeps eye on the Dram (or drachma) of Dunya
(World), O highness Iblees replied that: "O Excellency 
] came out of his house, he saw Iblees (Satan)
standing at the door. He
said that: "O Damned Iblees! Why have you come here? [What engagement
you have here] Go away!" Iblees said that: "O Ghaus
ul Azam! A servant has gone inside with
a Dirham (currency of that time) of world. I am standing here in anticipation
for that Dirham, as the wealth of Dunya
(World) is my Mata e Qaleel
(scant stuff)".
says: Say (O Prophet
Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
!) the comfort of this world is scant.
, he is my dear and the brother
of the faithless Devils. My curse is on him!" Hazrat Pir
Dastgeer went inside, brought that Dram
(or drachma) of Dunya
(World) [from the servant], and gave to the Satan
and the Satan touched those Dirhams of the world with his eyes after
kissing them. Hazrat Pir
Qaddas-Allahu Sirru-hul Aziz
said that: "O accursed! Why have you done
this with the Dram (or drachma) of Dunya
(World)" [That is, why had he given
that much respect to those Dirhams].! Dirham and Dunya
(World)
is my body and life, whosoever holds these in his hands with Liking, the
effect of these conducts from his hands to his heart [that is, its (efficacious)
effectiveness gets fixed in his heart] and by grasping
the Dram (or
drachma) of Dunya
(World), his heart turns dark [and when the heart of a
person has turned black,] he turns his face aside of the Course of virtue
and is caught up in vices like haughtiness, arrogance, desire and greed
(grasping), jealousy and greed and goes astray of the Right Path".
The Iblees added that: "O Pir Dastgeer! The People of Lust, may
they be the Ulema or the Fuzala'a (learned persons), may they be Jaahil
or the Faqeers
the People of Taqwa - [all] are my seekers and
my mureedain [as] Dunya (World) is my mureed [thus] they,
who are its bondmen, they are my bondmen. Every that person, in whose
house the Dunya (World) comes, he becomes my brother and then I take
that house dearer to my life where my brother resides and I snatch his Eimaan
away and cease the Course of truthfulness on him till a time comes
when the Sayings of God and His Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe
Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
are no more liked by him and
his heart finds satisfaction through the Outwardly glitter and pomp.
