[The following couplets] have been taken
from the corpus of Hazrat Shah Abdul-Qadir-Jelaani
Qaddas-Allahu
Sirru-hul Aziz ABYAAT (COUPLETS) We gaze
upon Our bondman
with Mercy [daily] Three Hundred Sixty times, You can imagine
from this that in Our sight up to how much the Martaba of the slave
is! That is, how [great] it is! [O slave!]
Do not be infidel with Us and leave Us not in haste, As Our Sight of
Mercy is on you since the First Day till Abad, A dirty face that
has become contaminated with the pollution of sin, If it washed
without water, [then] this is Our Mercy, We will give your deed
manifest (Account) in your own hands on the Day of Decision, So that none else
but you alone may know what is therein [that is, which sins are in it], We give you Ten
Times Reward in world for your one deed of goodness, [And] then in the Hereafter
will grant you Seven Hundred Seventy Times Sawaab! If a sin committed
is by you in err, We exonerate it with Our Sight of favor, O My slave! Now
you tell me if there is any other besides Me, who can dispense more Condescension
