In addition, the Faqeer is like white
gull that sits on the brink of river. It takes from the river and eats according
to his Kismet but does not walk in river and does not drown in water.
The People-of-Dunya do not respect Faqeer but the Faqeers
are respectable in Sight of Allah
and the People of Dunya
(World) are pale
faced because they have given their entire honor to the wealth and gold.
Hence, respect and honor has no relation with them. [Listen carefully, O Seeker! It is said that]
a Vizier left his ministry and chose the discipline of Faqar
and joined a group of Faqeers with conviction and absolute sincerity.
Incidentally, one day the king of that time passed by him and said to him "what
did you from Faqar after leaving the royal court?" He said that
he got five things: 1. (When I was your
Vizier,) when you were sitting, I had to keep standing in front of you with my hands
folded across chest in humbleness. You never offered me to sit down. Now
when I stand in front of Allah
with hands folded across chest (in Assalaat)
in the four Rakat , He orders me to sit two times in this phase. 2. When you slept,
I kept awake in order to keep you safe against your enemies. Now I sleep, and
He guards me. 3. When you used to
eat, did not give me to eat. Now that Allah
Almighty 4. In case you died
(in my presence), the people should have taken me for investigation of matter
and should have taken account of my responsibility. Allah
is the Hayyu-Qayyum
5. I had no immunity
against your anger and coercion anytime and I had threat of life forever. That
Allah
Almighty is the Relenting and the Merciful to His Slaves and forgives
