OF THE SULTAN-UL-FUQARA -THE SECOND After
the People of the Household of the Holy Prophet, the Martaba
of the special
extraordinary Faqar
was conferred upon Hazrat
Khawaja Hassan-Basri Radhi-ya-Allahu
Ta-aala Anhu * It
is reported that he was a kid at that time that the Holy Prophet Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam 
.
He has been commemorated as the Second Sultan-ul-Fuqara
in the Risala
e Ruhi
Shareef. He was brought up since childhood in the Family of the Holy Prophet Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
because his respectful mother was the maid of Hazrat
Umme Salma Radhi-ya-Allahu
Ta-aala Anha
.
Whenever, his mother had to go outside the Harem
of the Holy Prophet Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
for some task and he started weeping, Hazrat
Umme Salma Radhi-ya-Allahu
Ta-aala Anha
used to put her blessed breast nipple in his mouth. He sucked it and some drops
of milk happened to come out for him by the Ability of Lord
and went down to his throat! All these thousands of blessings, which he caused,
all were by virtue of his bringing up in the lap of the Lady of the Holy
Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
and because of the (efficacious) effectiveness (and the impact) of her milk.
went for Assalaat
(Prayers) after doing Ablution
(Wuzu ) by his ewer. He came
there and drunk the water present in that blessed ewer. When the Holy Prophet Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
returned to his Harem
and found the ewer empty, he asked 'who has drunk this
water?' Hazrat
Umme Salma Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anha
replied that 'it is Hasan who drank
it'. He said that 'as much water, he has drunk, that much Ilm
of mine has
entered him'. Thus, how great the God Gifted destiny and the share of Azal
was
with him that the Lady of the Holy Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe
Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
fed him milk of her blessed bosom, he was brought up in the lap of such a
Chaste Lady
,
the Ability let him drink the left over Ablution
water in the ewer of the Holy
Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam,
and on his credit, the Holy Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa
Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
spoke by his
truth
revealing blessed tongue that 'my Ilm
has
entered him'; then who, other than him, would preferred over him to be blessed
with the Degree and Martaba
of Faqar! This is only the Predestination of Azal
ad the Favor and Grant of the Fazal
(Grace).
