Makhzanul Asrar Makhzan Ul Asrar

Many outstanding acts and traits are on his credit. There have been two Ulema in Basra, whose name was also Hasan like him. Their accounts of lives and merits have been narrated in books and have been mingled with his in error. However, we will describe hereunder some commendable achievements on his credit, which are valid and correct.

A saint writes that 'one day, we accompanied Hazrat Hasan Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu on Hajj. In the way, we felt thirst. We reached at a well but we did not find any rope or bucket to fetch water out. We humbly informed Hazrat Hasan Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu. He said that he would start offering Assalaat (Prayers) and when he had become engaged in Assalaat, then we should approach the well and drink water. Hence, he started offering Assalaat and we went on the verge of the well and observed its water rising like a fountain and water has risen up to the brink of the well in a second. We drank water up to our fill. One of our companions filled a can secretly and the water returned to its previous state. After this, we left that place. In the way, we felt hunger and we informed Hazrat Hasan Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu and requested him.

At that occasion, he gazed upon a date palm tree, which was not green and fresh dates grew up on it at the same moment. We ate the dates and filled our stomach and became fresh. The taste and flavor of these dates was quite unique and of much better and higher quality than the worldly dates. The thing of most wonder is that the seed of every date turned into gold when we had eaten the fruit We sold these golden seeds in the market of Madinah and bought necessities of life and remained astonished.

It is reported that Imaam Abu Umar Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe has learned all the Holy Quran by heart and he also used to read it well. Once a handsome body came to his place and he saw him with lustful eye and the same moment, the Quran was lost from his memory and he forgot it. Moreover, it became hard and difficult for him to read it even. In such condtion, a grave fear and threat surrounded him and in an extreme restlessness and worriness, he went to the court of Hazrat Hasan Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu and requested him for Inwardly help and for relief. Hazrat Hasan Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu said 'these are days of Hajj. You should leave for Hajj immediately and when you have done, you should go to Masjid Kheef.
