is like this that in the rule of the late Muhammad Ali Pasha (al Masood Ibne
Agha) the Waali
(Governor) of Egypt, the students of Egypt used to go France
for learning knowledge and sciences and some Shaikhs, that is, religious guides
were also sent along with these students who used to give them Talqeen
for the
religious and spiritual teachings lest they should not become inclined towards
atheism and freethinking. Once, a journalist of a newspaper of France saw one
Egyptian student early in the morning doing Ablution
(Wudu) with pieces of ice
as ice had covered that area and water was hard to find there. Seeing this, he
was astonished. Hence, the next day, he wrote an article in the newspaper with
subject like this 'if the condition of their religious passion continued as
said, very soon Egypt will make the entire Europe its slave. Example of such solid
commitment and resolute attachment (with devotional conation) is impossible to
find in Europe. These are those determinations which can slide a mountain even
and can rummage states'. After this, the routine of sending religious and
spiritual guides along with Egyptian students ceased. It
is a matter to worry and ponder that how much the Europeans are afraid and
scared of the religious spirit and the spiritual power of the Muslims that they,
day and night, keep close watch over our religious affairs and spiritual
conditions because the religious enthusiasm and the spiritual passion is that
real formula which can lift the Muslims to the acme of progress. The West has
already lost its spiritual power and religious spirit since long times in its
worldly temptation and avarice. Even the last spark of the fire of religion has
died in the hearth of its bosom and just a few ashes of the religion is left
for customs and practice which is sometimes seen in air due to the blows of the
dry Sermons delivered by Priests and due to the voice of the music played in
Churches which blurs the eye instead of giving it more eyesight. Contrary to
this, though, as a result of the negative tactics used to drive the Muslims
into ignorance, the hearth of the bosoms of Muslims have become cool, yet still
the last spark of Eimaan
is lying alive in the coal of their hearts. * Whenever
it receives a supporting blow of air the air of advice and instruction from the
Aamileen
Ulema
or the Kaamil
Faqeers
, the hearts of their bosom become hot and
the fireplaces become lit again. Therefore, although the Muslim
is condemned
and beaten in political picture and has become poor and woebegone economically
yet whenever the need of dying for Islam in the name of Allah
or sacrificing
the dear life for the honor of the Holy Prophet has arisen for him, the young
Muslim
has not hesitate a little and has run wearing the shroud of coffin and
has stretched his chest in front of bullets and has drunk the goblet of
Martyrdom with pleasure! The
real religious leaders and the original spiritual guides of Islam has planted
that deep-rooted chaste plant by their hands in the hearts of the Muslims that
since thirteen hundred years, the malignant Iblees along with his Outwardly
and
Inwardly
satanic hosts of Jinn
and humans are cutting it with their
multifarious tools and equipment day and night and their limbs have exhausted
and tools have become blunt in this effort. Though the branches of this tree
have been cut by them and leaves have fallen but bravos are for this blessed Shajr
e Tooba (Goodly Tree 14:24) of Islam that its pure trunk and chaste roots
are still intact and rooted in the soil of the hearts of Muslims and even in
this poor time, no religion and nation can compete with it in their Outwardly
deeds and actions and the Inwardly
conditions! Alas!
Muslims have ignored Islamic ways and religions doctrines and have fallen deep
in morality. That is why, they have become miserable in world. Kuffaar
and
Mushrikeen
have assumed the good Islamic deeds and religious laudable
qualities. Hence, Muslims have become occupied and dominated by these Kuffaar
and irreligious people. There was a time that the conduct (and ethics) and
character of Muslims was of highest caliber and all the nations of world used
to envy of the height of their stature.
