Then he said that: The Noble God
desires eight things from the slave and two things from heart: 1.
Ta'zeem (obeisance and compliance)
of His Orders 2.
Affection on the creatures of God He 1.
Iqraar (Declaration) of
Tauheed through tongue 2.
Rafaqat (camaraderie and amity) for
the creatures of God And He 1.
Particularly observing the Obedience
of Lord 2.
Extending a helping hand
towards the Momin brother (philanthropy) And He 1.
Observing
Perseverance (in righteousness) on the Decree of God 2.
Observing Forbearance and tolerance
on the [infliction] from the creatures of God People told Haatim Tai
about a person who possessed wealth and possessions in abundance. Haatim
asked the people if that person had also collected the provisions for the Eternal
Life. People said: Nay! Haatim said: then the wealth and stuff is of
what use for the dead body? A person asked Haatim Tai that if he had any
need. Haatim replied: Yes! The person asked: then tell. Haatim
said: (My
need is this) that you should look at me [and learn a lesson] and I [should
learn a warning lesson (with example)] by looking at you. He added:
Learn a great lesson of warning upon seeing those persons, [who have caught
up in the Liking for Dunya
(World)]. That person, who learned no lesson
(with warning), [he got no respect at all] and he, who believed in this thing,
he becomes Mustaghni (by renunciation) by the advice (and lesson). He
further said that: keep away of the company of three kinds of people: 1.
The
Ulema, who are heedless 2.
Lenience
lover Qaaris (readers) 3.
The
Jaahil Sufis That person, who wants that his Deen
and body should remain peaceful and his grief should lessen, ask him to keep
solitude against the people as this is the period of observing recluse and privacy.
He further said this that: the entire world, in absence of these five things,
is futile: 1.
That
much food that is necessary to sustain life 2.
Water,
that can quench thirst 3.
Cloth,
that can just hide the (private parts of) body (to avoid nudity as per Shariyat) 4.
House,
in which one can lead a very simple life 5.
