He
had never acquired any Outwardly
Ilm
(and education from a school or a
teacher). Since his
early life due to a rush of the Inwardly
phenomena and abundance of Doubtless
Conquests, he had no time spare for acquiring any formal education. Hence, in a
book, his highness says that 'Hazrat Muhammad Arabi
Sall-Allahu Alaihi Wa Aalihee Wassallam
and me are both Ummee (unlettered)'. At another place, he
says that 'this Faqeer
had no opportunity of acquiring Outwardly
Ilm. However,
by means of the Inwardly
Returns of the Unseen and the Doubtless Conquests so
much Uloom
have opened on us that countless record room would be needed to
record details thereof. Moreover, saints have said that fine word
is that which
is brief and to the point but its scope and meanings should be vast and many. Although, we have not received Outwardly
Ilm
yet
our heart and conscience, Are bright and clear like a Truth-Reflecting
Mirror. Hence, both the Outwardly
and the Inwardly
Uloom have absorbed in it by
reflection Because
of the Mukashifaat
and Tajalliyaat
(Self-Disclosures) of the Anwaar
of the
Essence, we had no occasion for acquisition of the Physical knowledge nor had
we time spare for doing Wird
and Wazaif because, since Azal
till Abad
and every
moment, we have remained Drowned
in the unfathomable and the deepest River of
Tauheed'.
* It
is said that his highness wrote over one hundred books in the Ilm
of Tassawuf.
I have collected about forty of his books in Persian also and I have been
writing these by my hand before many years. This Faqeer
(Noor Muhammad)
has studied vast in Theology and especially the Ilm
of Tassawuf
and I have seen
and read the books of all the previous and present Saalikeen and Scholars of
every language one by one but that Effectiveness and Auspiciousness that I
found in the blessed books of Hazrat
Sultan ul Arifeen
Hazrat
Sultan ul Faqar
Hazrat
Sultan Bahu
May Allah
Sanctify his Secret,
I have not found even their smell in other corpus. Allah
is Witness to my
condition. It feels as if the all-conquering blessed Spirit
of the Writher
May Allah
Sanctify his Secret is present and in
action in the letters and text of these books that just by reading the text,
the Noor
of his Tawajuh
directly enlightens the heart with a pace like Burraaq
and delivers the reader to the Station
of Secret
without Riyazat
and to the
Martaba
of Mushahida
without Mujahida. How fortunate is that tongue that speaks
these written words and how much blessed are those ears that hearken this
Divine Manifest of the Glorious Lord and how virtuous is that eye and heart
which have sight and wisdom by virtue of this Word
of the Depth of Kun {Be!
(36:82)} and the Ilm-e-Luduni!
