That
person, who wants to set foot in this Course of Faqar , he should
do Riyazat [continuously] for twelve years in Shariyat. He should
always remain Qaim-ul-Lail (vigil (the nightlong)) and Saim u Dahar (observe
Fasting in the world). In addition, he should exercise such a Riyazat
of twelve years in the Tareeqat as if he has divorced to all
that which distract from Allah
and all of His Outsiders. [Moreover,] he
should do such a Riyazat in Haqeeqat that there should last [no] Demand
for anything except Allah
Almighty and in the Marifat
, he
should do that a Riyazat that he should get lost in Marifat and
after this, he should open the eye of the Outward and the
Inward at the Station of Ishq and Muhabbat . [On
this Course of Faqar] if he, all his life, keeps on hitting
his head against stone in exercising Riyazat in presence of a Murshid-e-Kaamil
, will avail not profit because he, who has no Pir and Murshid,
cannot access unto Allah. This is so, because the Murshid the parable
of Mu'allam (Pedagogue instructor) is the guardian of the
ship [of the Ocean of the Marifat] and he is vigilant for
every calamity by virtue of his Ilm. If the Mu'allam is not on
the ship, it is capsized [in Ocean] - he himself is the ship and
he is himself the Mu'allam - understood by him who had wisdom! BAYT (COUPLET) God is nearer to you than your jugular vein, He is with you but you are away of Him. As
Allah
Almighty
says: and We are nearer to his jugular vein. (50:16)
Ishq
has two kinds: Ishq e Haqeeqi (Real Love) and Ishq e Majazi (Virtual
or Figurative Love). Ishq e Haqeeqi is that Ishq, in which
everything other than Allah
Almighty is forgotten. Ishq e Majazi
is this that by its Zikr, [full control and power of] the Sukr
and Masti, and Wajad (trance) and Jazb takes place
and (he) becomes Majzoob or the Mashooq (Beloved) shows [so much]
love that the Aashiq becomes mad and crazy. Allah is sufficient; everything other than
Allah is just
lust (and greed)!
