When,
on the Day of Judgment, the deeds of goodness and sins of
the people will be taken into Account, that person, on whose heart the
Name-the-Essence
(Ism-e-Zaat ) will have been inscribed. Or that person,
who has just once read the Name Allah with the truthfulness of heart,
his sins, even if will be of the magnitude of the heavens and earth, will be
placed in one Pane and in the other Pane (of the Beam Balance
(Scale)) will be placed the Name-the-Essence
(Ism-e-Zaat ). The Pane
containing the Name-the-Essence
(Ism-e-Zaat ) will prove heavier and
weightier! Angels shall wonder and say that O Lord! Which deed of virtue is
of the person that caused the Pane become heavier? The Almighty Haq will say that [O
Angels!] This Salve is the Seeker of Me and has been engrossed in My Name-the-Essence
(Ism-e-Zaat ). O Angels! You are the People of Hijaab
, you
are absolutely unfamiliar with the engagement of worshiping (adoring) Haq,
I am with
them and they [the Ahl-e-Allah ] are with Me. You know not of
this Secret. Allah Almighty is sufficient, all that is other
than Allah, is greed! The
Name Allah is
of such importance that if a person observes Fasts, offers Assalaat
(Prayers), Hajj (Muslim Pilgrimage), pays Zakaat, recites the
Holy Quran and does every kind of Worship. Or, becomes Aalim Mu'allam
(Pedagogue) and attains unto Fazeelat of whatever higher degree but
if he does care to know the Name Allah and the Name Muhammad
Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
and does not keep these Names in study. It will be [as if his] life of all
his Worships has lost and destroyed [and] he will avail no benefit of these
Worships. [The parable of these people, who do not do Zikr, is such as] his
highness Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
said that: You will die as you took birth; you will wake as you
died.
Allah Almighty says: fulfill your (part of)
covenant, I shall fulfill (My part of) covenant. (2:40)
Since
the Aalim Faazil and the wise are many [and similarly] the Masters
of Issues (and problems), the Faqhee , the Qaim-ul-Lail (vigil
(the nightlong)), Saim u Dahar (observe Fast in the world), the devout, the
ascetic (worshipper) and the people of Chilla are many. [Likewise]
the hermits, Haji (the Pilgrim of the Hajj) and Namaazi (that
is he, who offers Prayers) are in large numbers. [Similarly] there are many
Ghaus and Qutab the People-of-Allah, Wali-Allah ,
the Masters of Taqwa and Fatwa and the Shaikh and Mashaikh.
[In the same way,] the People of Wird
and Wazaaif
, the Masters of
Mujahida and Mushahida , Ghareeb (poor), Khaksaar
(covered with dust), the Patient and grateful, Mazkoor ,
Hazoor Wisaal and Ahwaal and fortunate
(serendipitous), Khaleeq (polite) and Momin and Muslims
are also many.
