Allah Almighty says: and those who are of sound instruction (3:7)

Allah Almighty says: and those who have Ilm (Allah Almighty will exalt them), to high ranks (58:11)

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

Life of humankind is by virtue of the Ruh (Spirit), and Spirit's life is by virtue of wisdom and the life of wisdom is by virtue of Ilm.

The Ilm, if brings its influence on the Nafs, does the job of a serpent against it; and if it brings its effect on the Ruh, it as the likeness of a friend. The Aalim is he, who delivers Haq to the Haq and declares the Baatil the Baatil.

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

Take that, which is clean and leave that, which is unclean.

Do you know what thing the Ilm is? Listen [attentively]! Ilm is the companion and friend. The Devout, who lacks Ilm, he is Satan. Ilm is sympathetic (friend) of soul. The Devout, without Ilm, is Satan.

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

That devout, who lacks Ilm; Satan turns him mad in the final period of his life or causes his to come on Kufr.

(As for) that Faqeer, who is not compatible with the Ilm:

(Saying of Allah reported by the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

Allah does not make any Jaahil His friend.

Ilm is the Ain and Ain is the name of wisdom. That person, who is neglectful of Allah Almighty, and is ruthless, Dead Hearted and black hearted and is the seeker of Dunya (World); he is ashamed and away of Haq.
