As long as you will not Destroy your 'self' and as long as you will not play the game of death on this Course and as long as you do not see your 'self' in the in between, you will not get the honor of meeting with it. As, a Saint left his horse and reached the bank of a canal and his horse ran away as it was not ready to enter water. Shaikh thought that he should seal its eyes with mud. Horse crossed the water easily. Saint said that it could not crossed until it was seeing itself.

ABYAAT (COUPLETS)

Until you see yours 'self' in Ishq ,

You will see all things in perspective of fear and risk,

When you had no news of your 'self',

You had no thoughts of fear from fire and water,

Since you got freedom from your 'self',

Go! You got Wasal with your [real] Beloved.

And on this way, there are seven big rivers that their fast and furiously splashing waves will destroy the boat of Ruh . It is expedient that you should sit in recluse and privacy with silence and fight with the Khatraat of Arrogance with the troops of the Riyazat because nothing can defeat the troops of Riyazat except the Khatraat vainglory (and self-conceit).

Hence, it is said that there was a pious person who had no parallel in the devoutness in that time. He was traveling on a route. By chance, he saw coming unto him on same way a Faasiq (Miscreant) who had wasted and spoiled his entire life in abomination and vices (Fisq O Fajoor) and had lost his esteem in this way. The pious person looked upon the Faasiq with vanity (and pride) and said:

'O Allah! Assemble not me and him at one place!

Book

On the other hand, the Faasiq and Faajir (sinful) person repented and cried in the Court of the All Forgiver for all sins Bookwith fear and wept a lot and shed so many tears in extreme humbleness and self-effacement:

O Lord! Be merciful on me. Only You are my Lord!
