Spiritual Societies and Regular Committees have established in all big cities
of Europe and many regular Colleges and countless academies of this spiritual
science that is, Spiritualism have opened and many books have been written on
this science. In this connection, a famous expert on the knowledge of self,
Professor Dr. Maurice has written a very remarkable book on the human
personality in different chapters of which are worth noting discussions about
magnetic sleep, Abkariyat of Wahi
and Inwardly
Personality. He was also a
special member of this Society. We quote some extracts from Page no. 77 and
after. Professor Maurice has, first, mentioned those Mathematicians who give the
correct answer of even the toughest Mathematical problems at once without
thinking during magnetic sleep. More interesting is this that if they are asked
that how could they found the answer and they say just this that they have
solved but know not how they did! In this connection, he mentions a person
named 'Bedler' who could tell the multiples of even biggest numbers. For example,
once it was asked from him that what are the multiples of 17861 and he, without
contemplating, replied: 337 and 53. Then, when he was asked that by which
method or rule he found this, he replied that he cannot tell how. Perhaps, his
reply was a natural limit of a kind which is totally free of man's decision and
understanding. Professor says that he believes that the incidents of this kind
are not noticed first time in world but conditions and incidents of even higher
level like this have been already noticed by the people of earlier ages. * All
these are the upshots of our Inwardly
Body and Spiritual Bulk
which have been
present in every era and every age. Professor
writes that "now I say with complete confidence and resolution that the
existence of a Spirit
in the human being is certain which acquires power and
beauty for it from the realm of spirits and at the same time I also admit this
that a Ruh-e-Azam
(Arch-Spirit) and an Overlapping Noor
has been pervading the
whole realm with which the human spirit
can get the linkage". Along with this
research he has also quoted extracts of a well known Professor of France called
'Aibu' that "the Inwardly
Personality of the human being is that thing which
people call 'Wahi' (Divine Revelation). For this state, there are physical
qualities and characteristics which are reserved for this only". At
the end, we end on the testimony of Russell Wales who is considered equivalent
to Darwin and of similar opinions as him in natural science. He has written a
book on the wonders of Spirit
in which he openly admits this "I had been a
flagrant materialistic and naturalist. This could never come in my mind that a
time will approach when I will express about the Spiritual life which is
prevailing in the world but what could I. I had, willingly or unwillingly,
noticed such observations which cannot be denied. These have compelled me to
accept these things are real and existing. Though I was not ready to accept
these for long time that such traces are the outcome of spirit
but these
observations, little by little, impressed my mind. Not by logic or reason, but
this was the effect of continuous happening of these observations which left me
with no other option except to admit the existence of spirit".
