Friends are hundreds and thousands but our [Real] Friend is that the One,

I do not see anyone sympathetic, Compassionate for us is He the One,

I do not love anyone except that Real Friend¹,

Even if all pledge their love for us, our Muhabbat will still be for that the One and Only,

When ties are broken [with the Outsider] due to thousands of blights,

[Due to such an end] I have not seen faithfulness (for all times) in any person; Compassionate for us is He the One,

I have tested thoroughly each and all (jointly and severally) of the beloveds [of world],

I have no fear of any kind from anyone, for us this is [in fact] main problem,

I have not seen faithfulness (for all times) even once in hundreds of thousand friends [of world],

That is why I broke devotion of my heart for [them]² as Compassionate for us is He the One.
