And at the time Shahwat, it is
cattle; and at the time of satiety, it becomes like Pharaoh; and at the hour of
hunger, it is mad dog. The Nafs of the Arifeen has
[following] four features: At the time of sin, it is vigilant; at the
time of hunger, it is patient; in state of satiety, it is generous and at the
time of Shahwat, it remains sensible. [O True-Seeker] Lo! If, at the time
of perpetration, it is said to the Nafs that: "O Nafs! Allah
Almighty is the All
Present; by doing this, you will get deprived of the Intercession of the
Prophet of God Hazrat
Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam; you will face a bitter time at the hour of
(the throes of) your death; you will face the Punishment of grave; the Munkir-and-Nakir
will question; you will be blazed in the Fire of Hell; your deeds of virtue and
sins will be weighed in the Beam Balance (Scale) and you will have to face the
Reality of your Account (Deed Manifest); you will have walk over the Pul-Siraat;
on your success in the Trial, you will be given the pleasures of Heaven
(and) upon bringing the Waseela [of the Divinely Ilm], you will
be honored with the Didaar of Allah
Almighty". In short, whatsoever
advice or warning is given to the Nafs, the Nafs does believe any
and does not refrain from sin. However, the Zikr of Lord
[the Visualization of the Name-Allah-the-Essence
(Ism-e-Allah-Zaat) ] can keep it away
of sin and certainly, it does! HADIS (Saying of the Holy
Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe
Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam) Zikr of Allah
Almighty
is the evidence of Eimaan and is displeasure against Nifaaq and
is like a fortress against Satan and is the likeness of an asylum
against the Fire of Hell.
The Prophet of Allah
Almighty said that the Zikr
of Allah is sign of the identification Eimaan
and is the abhorrence against Nifaaq of the Nafs and is like
a fort of protection against Satan and is refuge against the Fire of
Hell.
