Taqwa is that thing, which
saves the Master of Taqwa (Sahib e Taqwa) from four
enemies. Therefore, the first enemy confronting Taqwa is the ordinary people
who are Dead Hearted "from the evil of that which He created" (113:2) And the second enemy in front of Taqwa is
Satan "O you sons of Adam, that you worship not the devil! Lo! He is
your open foe!" (36:60)
The third enemy of Taqwa is Nafs
"Lo! The (tempter) soul (that is, the Nafs-e-Ammara) enjoins unto evil"
(12:53) And the forth enemy against Taqwa
is Dunya (World) "the comfort of this world is scant" (4:77)
All these four brigands are the enemies
and opponents of Allah
Almighty. Hence, every that person, who keeps the foes of
Lord his friends, how can he be friend of God? HADIS (Saying of the Holy
Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe
Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam) O my Lord! Cause me oppressed, not oppressor.
BAYT (COUPLET) He, who became Fanaa-Fi-Allah
(Destroyed in Allah), he
became Baqaa-Bi-Allah (Reborn with Allah), He crossed across
the Station of Duality and his Inward became cleaned. And Taqwa" has four letters of alphabets: Taa,
Qaaf, Wao and Yaa .
From the letter, Taa is meant Tark, Tawakul, courtesy
(Tawazeh), Tarrahum (commiseration) and Talqeen; and the
letter Qaaf implies firmness in Deen, coercion (Qehar) over
Nafs and the Qurb of Allah; and from the letter Wao is meant
"Wa'z Pazeer" and Wahdat Fil Wahdat. And from the letter Yaa
is meant Commemorator of God, helper of the Muslims, or not possessor of any
such thing that is not liked by the Haq and he should be that person,
who does not beg for help from the creatures "You (alone) we worship, You alone
we ask for help" (1:5)
That person, who is endowed with these virtues,
he is Master of Taqwa and the sovereign (ruler) over Nafs
otherwise is the captive of carnal desires!
