The Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said that: That person, who does not offer the Perpetual Obligation, Allah Almighty does not accept his Periodic Obligations and that person, who does not offer the Periodic Obligation, Allah Almighty does not accept his Perpetual Obligation.

Thus, it is found that without performing the Zikr-e-Dawaam, the periodic Assalaat (Prayers) is not accepted (by Allah Almighty) even if his backbone has got bent by continuous offering of Assalaat (Prayers) and without offering the Periodic Assalaat (Prayers), the Zikr-e-Dawaam does not meet acceptance even though [his waist] has become as thin as a hair is, in pietism.

The Uncreated Zikr of the Sultan-uz-Zaakireen is like the Barzukh of the Name Allah, the Name Lillah, the Name Lahu and the Name Hu same as Bahu Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe Faqeer Fanaa-Fi-Allah (Destroyed in Allah) says:

Bahu Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe remains busy in doing the Zikr of Hu, therefore, he is not dead,

Because the Zikr of the Waasileen remains Current (involuntarily) with the inhaling and exhaling of breath.

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

Every breath, that is released without the Zikr of Allah, is dead.

[When such a condition takes effect], then, resultantly, the Nafs becomes Qalb, and the Qalb becomes Ruh, and the Ruh becomes Sirr and the Sirr becomes the Name Allah and the Name Allah is Tauheed and the Tauheed is the uncreated and the [People-of-Allah (Ahl-e-Allah)] Muwahhad call him the "the People of the Tauheed Mutlaq".

That the brigand Nafs must be got killed!
