[Thus,
when this fact is true then it is decided that the Ilm without Practice
(Amal ) is a liability on soul. Therefore so one should keep his Inward
and Outward correct by the Ilm and Practice as Ilm-of-Outward
is the illustration of Ilm-of-Inward]. BAYT (COUPLET) Butter is
the likeness of the Ilm-of-Inward (Inwardly Ilm) and milk is of the Ilm-of-Outward
(Outwardly Ilm), How can butter come without milk and how a Pir
can be with a Pir? That
is Ilm, which delivers you to the desired Destination; otherwise, it is
a Hijaab ! The
Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad
Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
said
that: Ilm is also a big Hijaab amongst the Hijaabaat
of Allah.
BAYT (COUPLET) That Ilm, which takes unto the Friend,
has not been recorded in books, All that, which we have read and written [or that we
read and write], is useless [without Amal ], If heart has grasped the rein of the
companionship of the Mahboob (Loveable Beloved), It found that life [of Eternity] the foot
of whose passing away is not inside the saddle. [That is, he dies not but he becomes eternally
alive] The
parable of the Aalim, who does not practice upon his Ilm
is same as: Allah Almighty says: is as the likeness of the ass
carrying books (62:5)
BAYT (COUPLET) You should not
ask the Secrets of Marifat from the People of School, As bookworm [insect],
even if eats the entire book, cannot become the People of Nukta . The following Hadis is about Faqar:
