EIGHTH CHAPTER ABOUT
ISHQ AND MUHABBAT AND FAQAR FANAA-FI-ALLAH (DESTROYED IN ALLAH [ISHQ AND MUHABBAT ] [O
Seeker!] Do you know that the Zikr of Ishq flies high? [That is,
the Maratib of Ishq and Muhabbat are very high and it is
not possible for everyone to cover its onerous and arduous
Destinations. Allah has created everyone for a specific purpose
and objective and has created the desire and appetite for this Name]. That person,
who is not eligible for it, cannot attain unto these Maratib no matter
how much effort he makes. If
a housefly keeps on rubbing its fore legs, jerks it head and flies thousands of
times, it can never reach onto the ranks of a goshawk. Similarly, an incapable
person cannot become the Master of Secret no matter how much Riyazat
and devoutness he does. Do you know Ishq has not read by a
teacher or academy? This because that the [Destination] of Ishq
is very tough. [Hence, it is revealed that the Master-of-heart is
like goshawk and the People of Nafs is like housefly and this discipline
is not found by reading and teaching]. The Hikayat of Ishq
is separated and outsider for world. Do you know that the Aashiq
demands death of the soul as the Maratib of Ishq
are of the Lamakaan . And of the purpose of the death of Aashiq
the only the Wasal (joining) with Lord. Same as the aim of the
peasant is crop for which he waits for the proper time for agriculture. He sows
seeds, and hopes for the crops and yield and the return is according to his
intention. Aashiq is Faqeer. Which religion and nation is of the Faqeer.
