HADIS (Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat
Muhammad Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam) The Ulema
have
been created from my
bosom, the Saadaat have been created
from my back, and Faqeers
have been created from the Noor of Allah
Almighty.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AALIM
AND FAQEER O
dear! Be informed as to what is the difference between Ulema and Faqeers.
Say that the Ulema are Seekers of Ilm and the Faqeers are
the Seekers of Lord!
If the entire Ulema the Masters of Fiqah on the face of earth are
assembled at a place and they all together gaze upon a Dead Hearted
person, his Dead Heart will not turn Alive through the Zikr
of Allah as their
tongue is living, but their hearts are not living! On the
other hand, if a Faqeer the Master-of-gaze gazes upon the Dead
Hearts, the hearts of all will become living and their Nafs
will turn dead ?because as long as the Nafs has not died,
heart does not become living. The life of heart is dependent upon
the death of the Nafs and the greed and desire leave the heart of
the Master-of-Qalb. What
is Ilm? ?(It means) knowing a fact and acting upon it and
that person, who has not the Fear of God and the Marifat of Lord inside his
heart, he is mindless. BAYT (COUPLET) An unwise person, who is worried for the livelihood, Is better than that wise person, who is not
abstemious! He,
who is the Seeker of the Ilm
of Lord, only he is the great Wali and only he is
called a Wali, who has no want, that is, he never disassociates from
Lord [in any condition] and does never Gaze upon the despicable Dunya
(World). Moreover, there are three signs of the Ulema-e-Aamil: first
is this that, he should be the Aalim Ba-Amal; second is this that he
should deal with the Creatures with Khulq (tremendous nature and
conduct) and third is this that he should practice Tawazeh (courtesy and
service) with forbearance (and tolerance). In addition, three things
are not present in the Ulema-e-Aamil: first, is greed second is jealousy
and the third is arrogance.
