Allah Almighty says: And (the Jinn who had listened to the Quran said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors (shooting stars). And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listened now finds a flame in wait for him (72:8-9)

It has been reported in Saheh Bukhari that Hazrat Umar Ibne Khataab Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu said that 'in the days of ignorance, we were sitting near our idols that a person brought a calf in order to sacrifice and votives for an idol and slaughtered it. At that time such a fierce voice rose from it which none of us had heard before. Every person there heard that voice and all ran after hearing it but I kept on standing there with intention that I should investigate as what that sound was and whose voice it was. Then again same voice was heard from that idol for second and third time. I was very much astonished and perplexed (and puzzled) at this. After this the invisible speaker inside the idol said that 'O brave person! Such a thing has happened which has a very important thing in it and a person says aloud that Laaa-Ilaaha Ill-Allahu'. He further says that 'when I enquired the people about these words, I came to know that a Prophet has arrived who says Laaa-Ilaaha Ill-Allahu/there is none worthy of worship except Allah.

In short that first loud shriek and cry was of that Kaafir Jinn who was inside that idol who was beaten by a Muslim Jinn and had to flee away. The second loud voice inside that idol was of the victorious Muslim Jinn who delivered the Talqeen of Tauheed and Islam from inside of that idol.

It is quoted that after the Conquest of Holy Makkah, the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallamsent Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu with thirty horsemen to Nakhla so that he could destroy the idol temple of Ezaa. He destroyed the building, idols and everything. When he reached back and attended the Court of the Holy Prophet and reported him about the whole event, the Holy Prophet Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam asked him that 'O Khalid! What did you see there?' He humbly replied that 'Nothing particular, O Hazrat!'. Then the Holy Prophet said: 'If this, then you have not broken the idol of Ezaa'. Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhu went again to Ezaa with fury. He reached there and searched for the idol of Ezaa. He found that at last and when he destroyed it, a black woman, with uncombed scattered hair, ugly face and naked came out of that idol and ran away crying and screaming. He returned and humbly reported details of the incident to the Holy Prophet. His highness said 'that was Ezaa, which has now been destroyed by you. Now no one will worship her again in that land'.
