However, the Aalim , who
is also Faqeer and Wali-Allah
and who will be Jaan Sipaar
(intrepid-devotee), would be hardly one in thousands. Ilm
is the Course
of Truthfulness and only the Aalim-Aamil are the [true] witness to Ilm
because
Ilm is the Waseela of the Sanctuary (Court) of Allah
Almighty
. That Aalim ,
who is contradictory to the Holy Quran and Rahmaan
, and is agreeable to Nafs and Satan and
does not follow the Hidayat of Ilm , he becomes disinherited
and deprived.
The word
"Ilm"
has three letters of alphabet.
He, who found the Fount [of the Essence] through the Aeen
of Ilm and made Aeen the Waseela the Fount
[of the Essence] and became Laa-Yuhtaaj Aalim by Laam
of Ilm and inclined
unto Allah
through the Meem 
of Ilm and kept himself away of Nafs
and desire. And he, who did not identify all these three letters of
alphabet and did not become familiar with of the Depth of Ilm ,
he remained disinherited (Aaq) and deprived by the Aeen of Ilm, and became irreligious
person by the Laam
of Ilm and Outcast by the Meem of Ilm. Moreover, the study of Ilm
should be commenced by the Sirr of Meem and he should follow the practice of
Hazrat
Muhammad
Sal
Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam
. A period of Twelve Years is required for
the complete acquisition of Ilm if an Aalim Seeker
intends to
acquire Ilm whereas through the gaze of Faqeers, he
becomes Aalim the Master of Excellence within a trice. And which Ilm is
this? It is the Ilm-e-Ludunni .
Allah Almighty
says: and had taught him knowledge from
Our presence (18:65)
Through the Ilm of Alif
, the Ilm of Alif is acquired and the Ilm of
Alif comes in
control and when (he) reads the Ilm of Alif, he is not left with any need of
studying the Ilm-of-Outward and Ilm-of-Inward.
Allah Almighty says: And who so does good at atom's
weight will see it then. And who so does an ill at atom's weight will see it
then. (99:7-8)
That person, who follows and
practices Ilm, that very person is the Aalim-Bi-Allah . He does
not remain neglectful in the study of Ilm. If this is not the
case, he is Jaahil even if he has read Ilm of syntax and grammar
from book and Tafseer Bezawi (
) day and night for twelve
years!
