The very basic meanings of Tareeqat (or Ta-ri-qat) are: esoteric mode of practice or path or Course of access or mysticism. The beginner of Tareeqat sees the Mushahida of everything and the master of Tareeqat confides his cause unto Allah and sees the demonstration of the Haq ul Yaqeen at the Station of Holiness. This person is neither God nor is [anytime] separate from God. The parable of the Station of Shariyat is like running well and the example of the Station of Tareeqat is like cloud and wind and (the example of) the Station of Haqeeqat is like the beneficial rain and (the example of) the Station of Marifat is like the Aab e Joo (a nonalcoholic beer) (P101 Ain ul Faqar).
