The Faqeer Taarik (Abnegator) Faarigh (disengaged) is he who gives up both the Dunya (World) as well as the People-of-Dunya. Real Faqar is this that whatever is presented to him he should present it to God. That person who is endowed with this caliber he is Faqeer the Sultan-ul-Arifeen (P208 Ain ul Faqar). Arifeen (Aa-ri-feen) is plural of Arif. Word Arif (Aa-rif) usually stands for Arif of Allah unless otherwise mentioned. Generally the word Arif means "(Muslim) Theosophist" or that person who has the knowing and wants to know advanced. "He who enters Marifat he is called "Arif" (P01 Muhik ul Faqar Klaan). In Majalisa Tun Nabi (P04 Eng. Translation) Hazrat Sultan Bahu says that:Muttaqi and Arif-Bi-Allah is called that person who first always chains the neck the Intoxicated Lucifer Nafs with the chain of worship and servitude of Allah and keeps it in the confinement of Fanaa-Fi-Allah (Destruction in Allah) but rather he totally Destroys the Nafs through the Visualization of the Name-Allah-the-Essence and after this the Faqeer after becoming bright through the torch of the Noor of Eimaan and Yaqeen becomes Roshan-Zamir and becomes able over Nafs and five Stations are broadened on him: The Station of Nafi The Station of Asbaat The Station of the Visualization of the Name-Allah-the-Essence The Station of Reciting the Holy Quran The Station of Reciting the Dua-e-Saifi along with the eternal Beautiful (Holy) Names without facing any Rijat. Plural is Arifeen. The sign of the Arif is that his gaze should be on the Course of Hazoori and the Didaar of God and he should have complete knowledge of every mode of Tareeqat P53 Emir ul Konain.
