Literally Shariyat (Sha-ri-yat or Shariah) means the Exoteric Practice of the system of Islamic Code of Life. It means doing that which has been recommended and refraining from that which has been forbidden by Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aalihi Wassallam. In short it means complete compliance to the way of Hazrat Muhammad as followed by him until one enters his Majlis. "The Marifat of the Ilm of the Nasoot of mankind is Shariyat" P17 Kashf ul Asraar. The parable of the Station of Shariyat is like running well and the example of the Station of Tareeqat is like cloud and wind and (the example of) the Station of Haqeeqat is like the beneficial rain and (the example of) the Station of Marifat is like the Aab e Joo (a nonalcoholic beer) (P101 Ain ul Faqar).
