It is plural of Rigat or Rij-at. Rigat (Rigat) means Regression setback or downfall. Lo! Faqeer faces Rijat for the reason that he leaves the Almighty Evolver and returns unto the Outsider. And the Ulema fall in Rijat because of going against Ilm and the Rijat of the Worldly Person is because of Bukhal (niggardliness) and the Rijat of the Jaahil is because of Shirk and the Rijat of the king because of injustice and unfairness.
