The Nafs e Lawwama has been mentioned at 75-2 in the Holy Quran as accusing or self-accusing or reproaching soul. He whos Nafs has the temper of hypocrisy; his devotion is with the hypocrites. His Nafs is Nafs-e-Lawwama. The Nafs-e-Lawwama Mulhimma is called that one which browbeats (and admonishes) its lord for doing every deed of virtue and sin. This Nafs is of the Wali Aalim devout ascetic (worshipper) virtuous and pious people (P54 Muhik ul Faqar Khurd).
