Generally "Jaahil" means that person who lacks knowledge is uneducated and is stupid as well or benighted uncultivated without the light of knowledge or in moral darkness. At P12 of Muhik ul Faqar Khurd Hazrat Sultan Bahu says that: three kinds of people are Jaahil: he is Jaahil Kaafir who does not recite Kalima e Tayyeb he is Jaahil who does not believe Allah as the All Present and the All Seer he is Jaahil who is desirous of the sordid Dunya (World) and is intoxicated in his selfness. That person is called Jaahil who is opposite to the Ilm of the Aalim (P46 Qurb e Didaar). That person who lacks Ilm he is Jaahil and is distant from Haq (P76 Asraar ul Qadiri). Jaahil is called that person who does not wage Jihad against his Nafs (P133 Aqal Baidaar). Also see P08 Aqal Baidaar P70 Ain ul Faqar P345 Muhik ul Faqar Klaan.
