Hazrat Ibrahim-Adham Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe was the king of Balkh. He had chosen the Course of Faqar after forsaking everything. He was contemporaneous of Hazrat Imaam Abu Hanifa Rahmatu-Allahe Ta-aala Alaihe. It is said that his Murshid was Hazrat Khizar Alaihis-Salaam and he had brought you on the Course of Tareeqat. It is quoted that he used to cut grass (as fodder) and sold it in the day. He used to serve food to the Dervishes with the money so earned and he remained vigil offering Prayers all the night till morning. People asked him why he used not to sleep.
