Arba-a Anasir of Soil Water Air and Fire. [O True-Seeker!] Lo! The human being becomes ignoble (and abject) and noble (and devoted to God) by four things. Four ignoble things are the Four-Elements such that each has distinct (efficacious) effectiveness (and the impact). Water has the effect that his Yaqeen may waver (and uncertain) a hundred times in a day and the heart will not maintain equanimity. Expectation (begging) and greed comes up in that heart. And Air has the effect that one will talks absurd (and meaningless) too much. And Fire has effect that it gives birth to great cruelty and coercion and one eats a lot (of food). And Soil has the effect that one sleeps too much and the dominance of Shahwat (libido) grows day-by-day and one ignores the worry of the Day of Resurrection and does not fear God.
