ABYAAT (COUPLETS) If someone asks me "what is reality of death", I shall say "a life of five days and then death", When I Destroyed my Nafs , greed, lust and sensual desires, Only after demolishing all these things, I got the honor of Liqaa of Lord, Grave is a place of recluse and means unto the Qurb of God for me, My time is passing good in this state of unfamiliarity with others, I have done Mushahida of this Station and Martaba prior to my death, When the Nafs has died then the perfect life is got by the Ruh , In my sight, both home and grave are equal, By opposition with this Nafs , Ruh has become eternal, Death is dying for the Dead Hearted whereas death is life for the Aashiq , Aashiqeen get freedom from this life [which is dungeon of the world], For the Aashiqeen, Meeting of the Beloved is source of power, He is dissolute (and barefaced), who has no Mushahida of this Martaba.
The actuality of Nafs is such that you should never trust on its Outward and Inward. [This is because] that the Nafs-e-Ammara becomes a Pharaoh in state of satiety [and blessings] and starts claiming to be the deity of worship with arrogance. It becomes a mad dog like a beast at the times of [poverty and] hunger. And it becomes Satan in the hours of anger and resentment. At the occasions of mischief and uproar [and sedition and corruption,] it turns to be a devious devil and Iblees. Nafs , at the time when it has to show generosity, totally becomes a parsimonious (and niggardly person) like Qaroon . However, the Nafs Mutmainna behaves [grateful] like a benefactor and beneficent one for the Muslims at the time of satiety (and fullness).
